In Exodus 28 God gave specific instructions to Moses as to how to make the breast plate which the high priest must wear entering in to the holiest of holies. Some of the colors listed was gold, blue, scarlet, and fine twined lined. These all represented and speaks of the nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. In verse 29 we read where Aaron had the names of the 12 tribes of Israel engraved on the breast plate of judgment which covered his heart for a memorial as he went in before the Lord. The word engraving of a signet or seal came from the same Hebrew word "chowtham" which means to cut away. In the book of the songs of Solomon verse 6 of chapter 8 said "set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a signet upon thine arm". In other words, he is saying that he wants to write his Word upon the fleshly tables of our hearts. Matt 15:9 for out of the heart proceedeth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies, When the heart is sealed the works of the flesh is cut off.

Gal 5:19-21 Rom 4:11 There is a cutting away taking place. Abraham got wind of this truth and decided to engrave and seal himself into the kingdom of God, can you imagine using a rock half sharp, he did not have to knives and technology of today, and many of the generations before us used a rock. There is a sealing of the heart which is required to enter into the kingdom of God and it will cost us something. In the book of Colossians he tells us that we have need to put off the old Adamic nature, put off hate, backbiting, the works of the flesh and put on Christ. In order for us to put on Christ we will have need to get an engraving or sealing done, there must be a permanent cutting away of the flesh. It would take the very nature of God to cover our hearts so that we may be able to enter the most holy of holies and live forever in his presence.

Once we have put on the breastplate which covers our hearts, once we have put on Christ, as one who has been called to be an high priest, we may be able to enter into the most holy of holies and offer sacrifice unto God for our brethren and ourselves. Se the principle of the many sons that God is calling to glory, the sons who are pressing toward the mark, (sealing) for the prize (God) of the high priest (high calling) Paul said that we ought to press,

Not everyone is pressing, sealing requires pressing, sealing creates an imprint or a mark, let me tell you, Jesus went through a sealing for us. it is the custom that a king carries on his person a signet ring, when an order is given and must be transmitted to another by the king, the king would take out the signet which is usually on his finger and pour some wax on the paper and press the ring on it to create an imprint of his approval and authority.

In Jesus case he used his own blood to create an imprint on our hearts that authorizes us to enter into the kingdom and to do business in his name. That will be expounded on in part 2.

Bless the Lord I am excited about what he is doing and the revealing of his Word.
