The Sealing of the Saints [Part 10]

Pressing on to know him we will now look very briefly at Judah, one of the sons of Jacob, one of the names written on the breast plate of the high priest. Recapping on the thought that sealing means "a cutting away" Of the flesh. The scriptures said that every male that openeth the womb in the Old Testament had to be circumcised, meaning that his foreskin had to be cut away. It was a permanent mark that brought a distinction upon the people of God.

When God told Moses to speak to Pharaoh and tell him thus said the Lord, let my people go. After many events and attempts Pharaoh eventually came up with a compromise. He said to Moses, "take your people and leave Egypt, but leave all your sheep and oxen’s behind" this compromise was a sure way to death to the people of God should Moses had accepted the terms and compromise of Pharaoh. Here's the thing, in the old Testament, the means of offering praises to our God was by sacrifices of the sheep and oxen. If Israel had ended up in the wilderness without a sacrifice to offer unto God they would have all perished. Hear me saints of God, we are in the wilderness journeying to our promise land, Moses (Jesus) had indeed gone before us and declared to Pharaoh (the devil) to let my people go.

We are at a place where the devil has made a compromise, he is now ok with us going to church, as long as we do not carry with us the ability to give thanks, praise and worship the King of kings. He is ok with that. His great compromise is for us to lose our composure and get upset so that when it’s time to give praises to God we hold back because we have lost it. How many times have we gotten upset just before worship, especially before worship something happens. The enemy is subtle and would use any and every avenue to cause us to leave our means of sacrifice behind, so that when we come before God we end up dry, without a song in our hearts and a praise in our lips. Without a Word to honor God. This is the reason for us being sick and weak when we ought to be strong. One of the device of the enemy that keeps us from giving praise is complacency, we fool ourselves in believing that we have plenty of time.

Here's what, time does not wait for anyone, when we have a window of opportunity and we do not use it, it will pass us by and may never come our way again. God is still speaking and we should be hearing. Voices in our head is a distracting voice and breathes confusion and unbelief. The voice that speak to our hearts is but one "God". The voice of God speaks with conviction and purpose. When the voice of God speaks there is no risk. When we hear voices in our head there is uncertainty and a lot of room for error. The songs that comes from our hearts is the songs that glorifies God. The Word that comes from our hearts is the Word that glorifies God.
Praise is not just something that we do but part of who we are. I will need to write on this topic in detail at another time. Praise is the thing that we will need to fight our battles.
Praise is what it takes to make God happy and to get his attention.
