The Sealing of the Saints [Part 7]

Jesus prayed for us to become one with him just as he and the Father are one. We need one another, looking at the sealing of the saints in the light of the breast plate of the high priest and the names written on the breast plate which covers the heart, we will now look at Gad. Gad was one of the 12 tribes of Israel, Gad means "A Troop" Right of the bat the name Gad gives us a sense of discipline because soldiers are trained and made ready to take their places and position to fight when given an order by the General.

The Lord wants us to come to the realization of the need for the Body of Christ. Daniel saw a people who would be strong and do exploits, Jeremiah saw a people who would become God's battle axe and weapons of war that would break in pieces the nations and tear down Babylon. Isaiah saw deliverers rising out of mount Zion, we are soldiers in the army of the Lord, Paul said "having done all to stand, stand therefore having your loins gird about with truth and to put on the shield of faith and the armor of righteousness. Put on therefore the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand in the evil day, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places. It can become very dangerous to be in a war and alongside and on the back of you, your comrades are not competent or trained to fight, God do not need any rebels in his army, he is building a troop, training them how to become disciplined, training them how to use their weapons and how to stand when the enemy approaches.

God is training a troop how to stand in the gap, God is training a troop to become patriots of the Kingdom, no man left behind as a casualty of war, this troop will only act at the command of their commander in chief, this troop is being trained to fight a good fight of faith and to reach their objectives. As a part of this great army of God we carry a very distinctive mark which sets us aside and makes us recognizable by the seal that we carry with us, faith being a seal upon us, compassion being a seal upon us, kindness, truth, holiness, mercy, love, hope, etc.
These seals have been placed upon us by the Holy Ghost for the perfecting of the saints, for the edifying of the Body of Christ. We are sealed as a troop and are destined to stand in the front lines of the battle of faith, God is today sealing us with the mind of Christ, he said, "as many as receive him gave he power to become sons of God" Not my will but yours, Loosing our own ambitions, Laying down our cross for the sake of him.
